Udaipur, known as the Venice of the East, gloats a few shining lakes against a scenery of the Aravail hills, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, islands in Fateh Sagar Lake, are the site of Udaipur Solar Observatory and Nehru Garden along with some cultural performances. They call it the city of lakes; and living by one, I’d say, is intrinsic to the experience.
